Advancing Black Homeownership Initiative partnership between the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission and U.S. Bank aim to increase access for minority communities that have not been able to realize their dreams of affordable and sustainable homeownership.  Now is the time to work collectively and with speed to begin the arduous process of changing the trajectory for many that have suffered from systemic racism and generational poverty.  Sustainable homeownership has a pivotal role in that process and offers the most opportunity to build wealth for Black individuals and families.

The Advancing Black Homeownership Initiative focuses on three engagement areas:

1. Adult Financial Education
2. Community Outreach
3. Enhanced Recruitment of Mortgage Sales & Support Professionals

The Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission promotes this initiative through public community outreach project activities in communities and areas that are predominately comprised of African American low-to-moderate income households throughout the Little Rock Area to increase awareness of the importance of African American homeownership.
